Rent That Designer

Please familiarize yourself
with Rent That Designers Terms & Conditions prior to hiring. By Hiring with
Rent That Designer you are accepting & consenting to the practices in these terms of use. 

Please take into consideration that items have been worn before. General wear & tear does occur which rental prices reflect this. If you are wanting something in brand new condition we would strongly recommend you to buy rather then rent.

Rent That Designer reserve the right to change these term & conditions from time to time as its sole discretion.

Rent That Designer reserve the right to change hire pricing from time to time as its sole discretion.

Rental Period: 

We have a three-day rental
period. If discussed previously that the period you will be renting is longer
than three days, the rental fee will increase and will be calculated by each
extra day that the garment is out. 

Refund Policy: 

STRICTLY NO REFUNDS.  

If for any circumstance you are unable to
wear an item, it then is out of my hands, as I
physically no longer have the garment I don’t know what occurs. Therefore, NO
refund will be given.

If your event is cancelled/rescheduled there will be NO refund given.

Cleaning: 

Professional dry cleaning costs are
included. Please do not attempt to wash/clean the item yourself as this may result in damage and lead to loss of bond or RRP collection. Just
send/drop off item as is. 
All items are professional steamed prior to sending however, can become creased in the post. Certain Fabrics are more prone to this occurring, if so please Steam on a LOW HEAT, alternatively you can hang the garment in a steamy bathroom and the steam with de-crease the garment. If you need further advise please *Direct Message* me.

Deposits: 

All Items require a
NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of the rental fee to secure the date. Nothing
will be booked until this deposit is made with receipt. ALL payments are made via bank transfer only. After a deposit is made
a commitment to that specified item for the specific date has been made &
therefore no try on time will be allocated. If you wish to cancel your rental no refund will be given as this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE & Non Transferable. 

Identification

A photo of valid identification in
which clearly states your FULL name and current ADDRESS must be given prior to
pick up or posting. 

 Bond:.

 A bond is required when renting any item; this
price is to be advised depending on the garment being rented. The bond price is on top of
rental cost which then is returned following an inspection of the item to ensure it is in the original condition given out in. In the case where further dry cleaning, repair costs or late return, the bond will be deducted.

After Wear: 

After you wear, it is expected that the garment is shipped back via the prepaid satchel the NEXT business day (usually Monday) by 4PM or as previously discussed. The parcel will need to be lodged at the post office and with confirmation of the lodgement receipt sent to us.

 If dropping off to our Hillside address, the item must be returned by end of day next business day to your event.
If the hire period falls over a weekend (Friday-Sunday) the item will need to be dropped off by end of day Monday or as previously discussed.

Store Credits: 

Store credits are only given
if the item is DROPPED off on the same day as received or if interstate, express
posted back the same day as received and is returned to us in its original condition. The term ‘unworn’ will be determined by Rent That Designer and must be fulfilled prior to the credit being issued. Credits are valid for 8 weeks & can
only be used for one item and only used once. (Eg. cannot return credited items
to extent for a further 8 weeks.)

Credits will NOT be given or can not be used over the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival Dates.

Credits will NOT be given on any promotions / sales.

Damaged Goods: 

If for any reason an item
gets damaged whilst in the renters possession, the repair cost will be sent and will need to be
covered by the renter, as it is only fair for you to pay for the damage that
has been done by yourself. Girls please take accountability for your own doing
and respect the clothes as you would respect your own.  If a garment is damaged beyond repair then
the full Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the garment will need to be paid plus
reimbursement of any future bookings. Once the RRP of the damaged item is paid Rent That Designer keep the garment in their 
possession.

You must inspect your rented garment and notify us and send through photos of any damage you believe has occurred before the item was in your possession, within 5 hours of the item being delivered and/or picked up. You may be held responsible for the damage if we are not notified within this time period or sent photo evidence of the damage.

Debt Collection:

If you refuse to pay the
money owed for repair damage, beyond repair or loss of item. The invoice of the
owing cost will be passed onto a debt collection agency to pursue for collection.

Lost Goods: 

Once an item has left my
possession the responsibly of the item is then on you. If for any reason an
item gets lost in the posting process the full RRP will be sent to you to
cover. 

This is why we ask you to LODGE your prepaid return satchel at the post office by physically handing it in & getting a lodgement receipt once done giving Australia Post responsibility after the first scan.

Pick up: 

Pick up is from our Hillside address 1 – 2 days prior to your rental date. It is expected if picking up
an item it is then dropped off the next business day. If wanting to post back this must be agreed
upon prior to picking up the item. This will lead to loss of bond if not previously
agreed upon.

Postage: 

Express post is at your own risk. If an item does not arrive on time for your event NO REFUND is given only a store credit if posted back on the same day it does arrive.

Australia wide express postage
available at client’s expense. If posting we include the renters prepaid return satchel. The renter will be advised of this price as some garments require larger postage satchels then others and in that case the price can vary. Postage costs include a return satchel & handling. When choosing the postage option you are automatically giving authority to leave your parcel in a safe place. Rent That Designer does not take responsibility for orders where an incorrect/ineligible address has been provided. If you have supplied an incorrect address you will not be entitled to a refund or store credit. 

Postage items must be lodged at the post office the next business day after your event before 4PM with a lodgement receipt provided to us. If this is not followed this will lead to loss of bond. If the renter is to lose their return prepaid satchel it is then the renters responsibility to return the garment via trackable EXPRESS post and must provide tracking details and photo of the addressed satchel.

Please remember that there are other clients who have booked the item that you have for the following weekend.

Final Payment:

After paying a deposit, the final payment, including remaining hire fee, bond and postage if required is due 5 days PRIOR to your scheduled pick up/postage date. Once this payment is made there is strictly NO REFUNDS. 

If having to cancel you will then be issued a store credit valid for 8 weeks.

Privacy Policy:

The privacy of your information is of utmost importance to us and as a result of this we will not disclose, rent or sell your information to anyone. In order to give you the ultimate renters experience we are required to request certain information. This information is collected in order to complete the transaction and follow up in the event that a garment is either not returned or not in the original condition requested.

Rent That Designer reserve the rights to upload any photos of clients wearing items by Rent That Designer for marketing purposes.

Try on’s: 

Located in Hillside VIC
3037, I offer try on’s on WEEK DAYS ONLY, for items over $60 hire fee. 
A non-refundable try on fee of $10 applies for every two outfits. This
payment must be made when a date & time is confirmed with exactly what
outfits you are wanting to try on. If an outfit is booked within 24 hours of the
try on appointment the $10 fee will go towards the hire of the outfit. If you
do not decide to book an outfit this $10 fee is non-refundable & does not
go towards another try on appointment. Each try on appointment goes for strictly 15 minutes and only the person who is trying an outfit on is permitted to come inside. Please ensure NO fresh fake tan or full face of makeup is worn when coming to your appointment. You will be sent away if this is to occur. If during your try on appointment you are to damage or mark the outfits tried on a fee will apply to cover the cost of damage repair/dry cleaning. 

PLEASE NOTE: Items can still be booked prior to your try on appointment by other clients as no ‘holds’ are made without a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the *RENTAL FEE*. In the case the that BOTH of your two desired outfits are booked prior to your $10 try on appointment this $10 will be refunded.

COVID-19: 

In the event that a lockdown is to occur for the date of your event a store credit will apply for those pre
booked items which will last for 8 weeks from the date the lock-down ends.
